Have you ever redesigned a website or digital product, released it with confidence that it was going to be met with acclaim, only to experience a backlash from your user base? Well, many experienced UX designers have. This talk will share anecdotes and insights about unwelcome change in digital products - why they happen, and how they can be avoided. Attendees are encouraged to share their own anecdotes and insights as well.


Iain Lowe has been making digital products for over 25 years and has had roles in project management, product management, and design. He's designed and led design teams in a broad range of industries including e-commerce, digital content delivery, government services, financial services, and public libraries. Currently he is a Director of Product Design at a Sales Compensation Management software company. Iain lives in Toronto and enjoys woodworking, guitar playing, and mixing cocktails, among other things.
